Candidates for PAC Board of Trustees
2020
Candidate for the President
Robert Warzycha
I am a retired professional soccer player and Polish National Team member, I came to Columbus in 1996 with my family to join the Columbus Crew in the inaugural season of Major League Soccer. I would finish my playing career in Columbus where I still live with my family. I am actively involved in youth soccer development and I enjoy a round of golf. My leadership, communication and team skills make me a great candidate for president.
Candidate for Vice-President
Helena Rempała
My name is Helena Anna Rempała and I have been a member of PAC since the Wigilja of 2013. Around the same time my husband, Grzegorz Rempała, and I joined the choir for the monthly Polish Holy Mass. During the 2016 and 2017 I served as the PAC Secretary. After taking a year off I re-joined the PAC Board of Trustees in 2018. I am happy to offer my candidacy for the Vice-President to further support PAC mission in Columbus. I am passionate about promoting Polish culture and language. I feel particularly honored to serve the Polish Community in Ohio - the birthplace of my grandmother.
Professionally I am a Clinical Professor of Psychology at the OSU Medical School and a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I live in Upper Arlington with my husband, an OSU professor of Mathematics, my younger son, an OSU student and our dog, Rat Terrier named Znajda. My older son is finishing his Master's Degree in Holland.
Candidate for Treasurer
Bartosz Warzycha
Born in Zabrze, Poland- I have lived in the US (Columbus) for the last 22 years, currently 29 years young. I attended The Marshall University where I finished a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Finance. I’m newly married to my amazing wife, Ania, who is also Polish. For the past 6 years I’ve been growing my career as a financial advisor with a privately held wealth management firm in Columbus. Given the nature of my practice, the position as Treasurer of PAC came naturally to me and I am honored to have served this past year. Polish and Proud!
Candidate for Secretary
Iwona Testani
Iwona Testani, nee Budzik is a native of Tarnów. She immigrated to the USA in 1987. She, her husband Tony and their two children have lived in Dublin and been members of the PAC since 1999. For the last two years I served as a trustee on the Board of PAC and would be happy to offer my candidacy for one more year.
I live in Upper Arlington with my husband Krzysztof, who works at OSU as a professor of Astrophysics, and two children, Mateusz (16), who is attending a UA high school and Alicja (12), who is attending Jones Middle School
